Have your say on Hull and East Yorkshire’s Local Growth Plan

Oh Yes! members … we need your help!

The Hull and East Yorkshire Combined Authority is seeking feedback on its Local Growth Plan – a 10-year strategy designed to drive sustainable economic growth.

The Local Growth Plan is a long-term approach that sets out how our region will support local businesses, create jobs, and invest in our communities.

It focuses on key themes which connect all of our Oh Yes! members – including growth, skills, innovation, sustainability and energy.

The Combined Authority has launched a consultation to gain insights and feedback from local authorities, businesses and the wider community.

It is open to businesses and organisations of all shapes and sizes – SMEs, large businesses, and everything in between!

The Hull and East Yorkshire Combined Authority is seeking feedback on its Local Growth Plan – a 10-year strategy designed to drive sustainable economic growth.

The Local Growth Plan focuses on key areas:

  • Supporting all sectors, with special attention to those that can drive significant growth.

  • Addressing strategic issues such as health, skills, innovation, investment and energy.

  • Developing enabling sectors like construction, which are vital to our economy.

  • Setting clear priorities for action and investment over the next ten years.

The current consultation has a clear timeline set out by the Combined Authority:

  • November 2025: Stage 1 consultation opens.

  • Early 2026: Stage 2 consultation and further analysis.

  • Spring 2026: Final plan published and submitted for approval.

Oh Yes! members are being asked to share their thoughts on the region’s Local Growth Plan.

One key section of the Local Growth Plan focuses on energy, and more specifically, the energy transition.

The plan says: “Hull and East Yorkshire sits at the centre of the UK’s energy and manufacturing economy…

“By aligning clean energy generation, industrial decarbonisation and port modernisation, the region could become the national hub for the energy transition and for advanced, low-carbon production.

“This would anchor thousands of high-value jobs and attract long-term investment into local supply chains.”

We’re urging all of our Oh Yes! members to get involved, complete the consultation, and have your say on the future of Hull and East Yorkshire.
